Punk Globe: Hi Matt thanks for chatting with us, it’s been a while since you have been featured in Let’s Talk Punk, and I believe you were a band promoter. Now you are not just acting in indie movies but producing too?

Matt: Absolutely doing both for about 7 years now.

Punk Globe: What Movies have you been a part of?

Matt: Wow I’ve been a part of about 20-30 so far check out my IMDb page  

Punk Globe: I know you often have bands in your movies, How do you pick them? Seems like a difficult task.

Matt: it can be for sure I like the more unique stuff and have become a little more picky about projects. I try not to do the same kind of project twice.

Punk Globe: Who are some of your favorite indie actors?

Matt: Jim Krut, Chanda Rawlings, Kay Leahy, Michael McGlynn, Zach Ruchkin, Angel Bradford, Morrigan Thompson, Mel Heflin, Monique Dupree, Russell Sage Patrick, and many more

Punk Globe: Tell us a memorable stage moment.

Matt: getting my head smashed in with a big clown hammer and the gore setup for that was cool in the film remnants also doofy from a scary movie spitting all over me during the pandemic lol 

Punk Globe: What advice would you give to aspiring actors?

Matt:  Have fun and don’t get discouraged if you don’t get the role. 

Punk Globe: Which has been your favorite character that you have performed?

Matt: probably a toss-up between crazy Larry in Brazen Impact and Skunk in Bloody Summer Camp.

Punk Globe: What are some of the difficulties of the entertainment industry?

Matt: Like any industry there can be a lot of gossiping and backstabbing.

Punk Globe: Is it more difficult in the acting or music industry?

Matt: both have their own unique sets of problems lol. It depends on the situation.  

Punk Globe: In your profession what are some things you have learned the hard way?

Matt: Oh absolutely. For both good and bad, there are a lot of con artists in the world today. 

Punk Globe: What has been most challenging?

Matt: doing stuff with no budget is very hard. A lot of ups and downs some projects don’t even get made because it gets to be too much for some people. 

Punk Globe: Other than movies and music what else do you like to do?

Matt: I love baseball and Halloween 

Punk Globe: What jobs have you done other than being an actor?

Matt: I’ve been a delivery guy most of my life but right now I’m an assistant manager at a truck stop. 

Punk Globe: Who are some of your favorite bands?

Matt: The Pietasters, The 69 Eyes, The Misfits, Murderdolls, The Queers, the Huntingtons, 

Punk Globe: How do you find people for your movies?

Matt: They usually find me lol. But social media or conventions usually are great places to do that. 

Punk Globe: What food, drink, or song inspires you?

Matt: I like all food lol. Lemonade Rockstar recovery and has been into a lot of Ska recently 

Punk Globe: What superpower would you have and why?

Matt: mind reading so I’d know if people were gonna waste my time or not 

Punk Globe: What is your dream project?

Matt:  I have it written but I don’t wanna say much about it yet. Lol

Punk Globe: Anything else we should know about?

Matt: I’m at the buffet while doing this. Lol
