Brian Jones was The founding member of The Rolling Stones.
Many Rock and Roll Bands,unfortunately had a member who died or was kind of left behind and was more influential than people remember today. But Brian played something like 20 or more different instruments and his Guitar Playing was as distinct and dominant as Keith Richards in both The Rolling Stones Studio and Live Sound. He sang backup occasionally .
Both Mick Jagger and Brian Jones played Blues Harmonica.
I don’t have every Record The Stones have done.. There are so many recordings available.
It’s been so many years ago I can’t remember if I first saw them on Ed Sullivan or Hollywood Palace. Some of The Songs Brian played Lead Guitar on include “I’m A King Bee” “The Last Time” “Mother’s Little Helper” “Get Off My Cloud” “Red Rooster” “Mona” “Blue Turns To Grey” “The Singer Not The Song” “Gotta Get Away” “Doncha Bother Me” “Have You Seen Your Mother,Baby,Standing In The Shadow?” “Complicated” “No Expectations” “Jigsaw Puzzle” “Salt of The Earth” “It’s All Over Now” “I Wanna Be Your Man” “I Can’t Be Satisfied” “Movin’ On” “Yesterday’s Papers” “Please Go Home” and there could be more than those.
Keith could play that Chuck Berry and Jimmy Reed stuff exactly like the Record,and Brian gladly played Rhythm Guitar on those songs. Brian’s own playing was more Elmore James and Bo Diddley. Keith Richards was from London and Brian came from Cheltenham. This is The story of Brian’s relationship in The last three years of his life with The multi-Talented Amanda Lear. Amanda says very little about her upbringing or where she was born. She was probably born in Southeast Asia where her Father was a French or an English Soldier stationed in “IndoChina” or Viet Nam.
She says her Mother was Russian or Asian. They say Amanda was probably born in or about 1950 or it could’ve been as early as 1939. Amanda came to England in 1964 to attend a University Brian Jones knew Salvador Dali and introduced Amanda to him in 1965. Amanda became Salvador Dali’s Muse for Years.
She was sharing an apartment with Anita Pallenburg and in 1965 she became casual friends with Brian Jones. Anita Pallenburg left Brian and went to be with Keith Richards instead in The last weeks of 1966. Brian was very much with Amanda. In The 70s so were David Bowie and Bryan Ferry, her lovers.
In The Late 60s Amanda was seen being taken out a whole lot by many upscale guys in The Swinging London Scenario. She was seen with Brian often. She was actually quite the Woman in London to be seen with.. Brian Jones died at his very Palatial House just West of London. Amanda Lear has given exhibitions of her artwork which numbers hundreds of pieces. For years she was a big TV star in Italy. She’s had numerous hit records all over The UK and Europe. Amanda simply took it on herself that she was female many years ago. She is a great hero to folks. I was trying to write an article about Brian Jones and I had most of The Rolling Stones’ Records when I was 10 or 11 years old. I had The Between The Buttons Album in 1967 and the “Miss Amanda Jones” which I always thought had references to some kind of sex,drinking with some girlfriend named Amanda Jones. Amanda Lear is still a beauty.
