★
Article By MA
The Cosmick Podcast recently wrapped up Season 6 of their award-winning show only to keep the engines running at full blast to drop a limited series called” Cosmick Talk” for the
The new show, hosted by veteran indie artists Chris Natalini and Mick Michaels Chris Matalina, primarily focuses on pop-culture topics as seen through the eyes of the show’s hosts.
“We wanted to do something slightly different… different at least for us,” said Michaels. “Cosmick Talk gives us a chance to be fans of life and share that with the audience.”
Over the last five years, The Cosmick Voice hosted by the team of Natalini (Execution Order, former Blood Feast) and Michaels (Corners of Sanctuary) has delivered a realistic, hands-on account of the music business as only an independent artist has experienced it. Drawing from four decades of time in the trenches, the good, the bad, and the sometimes funny accounts of this Cosmick duo are highlighted along with current topics and trends affecting the modern music industry landscape.
At the start of their sixth season last year, The Cosmick Voice had released its very first official” Cosmick Cosmick” strip,” Tales From Cosmickverse,” depicting the fictional misadventures of the show’s co-hosts in outer space.
Due to its popularity, the strip has been expanded and developed into a full-blown Cosmick book that is now available exclusively through March Baby Media. Copies can be ordered at www.thecosmickvoice.com or purchased directly through March Baby Media here.
“As a kid, I loved going to the store and buying comics,” said Natalini. “As an adult, I still love buying comics… and now, along with my brother from another mother, I’m in one. I’m coming for you, MCU!“
A limited number of Cosmick books have been produced, and each copy has been
been produced, and each copy has been autographed by Chris and Mick.
“We are taking the content into more places,” said Michaels. “Podcasts, Cosmick books, syndication… what’s next? Maybe we’ll look at doing a cartoon or even a TV show. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”
The Cosmick Voice is available on multiple platforms, including Spotify, i Heart Radio. Google Podcasts and Apple additional shows can be accessed at www.thecosmickvoice.com.

I Heartbreak The Ramones The Life and Times of The Speed Kings By Nick Cooper
★
Review By Ginger Coyote
In 1999, Nick Cooper, a very outgoing and supportive of the punk scene since I have known him met Marky Ramone, drummer of The Ramones. Together, they decided to form a band Marky Ramone and The SpeedKings, for three years, they toured Europe, Japan, and the United States. The Speed Kings released a live record and two albums.
‘I Heartbreak The Ramones’ is Nick’s memories of the years of playing with Marky Ramone. highs and lows, the personality conflicts, about the music and the record industry, and the crumbling friendship between a true fan/musician and his idol.
Nick’s memories are to the point funny and realistic The book details exactly how he remembers of being on the road and recording with Marky Ramone I enjoyed the book a lot. Everyone in a band has their own recollections and this is Nick’s. Knowing Marky, from my friendship with Joey Ramone. I believe Nick. Lots of rad never-before-published photos and interesting facts. I would like to thank Nick for “Heartbreak” The Ramones.

★
Review By Ginger Coyote
Former Punk Globe Photographer Jim Jocoy does an excellent job of illustrating the late 70s in his photo journal “We’re Desperate” on Powerhouse Books. The Book features portraits of Darby Crash, Chris D, Iggy Pop, Sid Vicious, John Waters, Bruce Connor, Jello Biafra, Ginger Coyote, Sue Brisk, and members of X, The Cramps, The Avengers, Flipper, The Weirdos, VS, Mutants, The Plugz, Levi and the Rockats, The Screamers, The Nuns and many others. Jim also includes a lot of the people on the scene besides the bands. The Forward by Marc Jacobs, an essay by Exene Cervenka, and an interview with Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore. This is an excellent photo book for any Coffee Table.
